After returning to his childhood home, a disgraced children’s puppeteer is forced to confront his wicked stepfather and the secrets that have tortured his entire life. He’s also desperately trying to get rid of the creepy half-spider/half-weird-ass-mannequin-head puppet to which he seems almost supernaturally attached.
A disturbing mind-fuck of a film that aims to get deep under your skin, this directorial debut from British actor Matthew Holness (best known for creating the cult hit series Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace) keeps a deliberately slow pace, but has some bone-chilling surprises in store.
