As Long as I’m Famous
Inspired by true events, writer-director Bruce Reisman‘s new indie drama As Long as I’m Famous is set during the summer of 1948 and explores the interpersonal relationships of stage and screen stars from post-war Hollywood and Broadway’s golden age. Specifically, the film follows the private, often forbidden romances of iconic movie star Montgomery Clift (played by Gavin Adams) and legendary composer Richard Rodgers (played by Eric Lutes) – all told through the perspective of a then-unknown twenty-four-year-old writer named Sidney Lumet (Aaron Fors). Sensual, witty, poignant and heartfelt, As Long as I’m Famous shows how, during the Golden Age of Broadway and Hollywood, sexual secrets and privacy were not just implied, they were expected.
Children of God
Blond haired, blue-eyed Johnny (Johnny Ferro) travels to the island of Eleuthera intent on finding some artistic inspiration. Voyage centers on a young psychiatrist who embarks on a lone journey from Hong Kong, along the coast of Southeast Asia, to overcome his depression. Meanwhile, what awaits him on the shore is the ultimate irony of life. A touching, deeply romantic drama, Fair Haven is often heartbreaking, but ultimately life-affirming – and the performances, across the board, are terrific. Young up-and-comers Green and Grant make their forbidden love palpable (and very sweet).

Floating Skyscrapers
Kuba (Mateusz Banasiuk) finds his life following a pretty normal path. Emotionally torn, Kuba ends up turning his whole life upside down – with fatal consequences for all. With Floating Skyscrapers, Polish writer-director Thomasz Wasilewski tells a story of broken hearts and the discovery of sexual identity against the backdrop of socially rooted homophobia.
Wild Awakening
An erotic forbidden love story, Wild Awakening has the vibe of a sexy and cheesy gay soap opera. Siblings Emma and Toni (Júlia Hernández and Fabián Castro) inherit their family’s horse riding school – a place where men are seemingly forever running around shirtless. Though they’re the rightful owners, neither Emma nor Toni seem well equipped to keep the business going. Leadership responsibilities fall to Ramon (Richie Ormon), the foreman. A sexy ensemble cast sparks this lively drama that poses some rather provocative questions about the boundaries of friendship and sexuality. Joe, Delia, Rodrigo, and Herbert are very close friends in their mid-30s who are about to see their closeness tested. Delia and Joe used to be a couple until Joe realized he was gay. Then Delia met Rodrigo and true love blossomed with one exception: no kids.
