No Hard Feelings
Parvis (Benjamin Radjaipour), the son of exiled Iranians, copes with life in his small hometown by indulging himself with pop culture, Grindr dates and raves. After being caught shoplifting, he is sentenced to community service at a refugee shelter where he meets siblings Banafshe and Amon (Banafshe Hourmazdi and Eidin Jalali), who have recently fled Iran. As a romantic attraction between Parvis and Amon grows, the fragile relationship between the three is put to the test. They find and lose each other throughout a summer of fleeting youth and intense first love. A critically-acclaimed romantic drama, No Hard Feelings won the coveted Teddy Award for Best Queer Feature Film.

Kept Boy
Farleigh Knock (Thure Riefenstein) is a famous interior designer and the host of a successful reality show. He has great taste and uses his money to ensure that he’s surrounded by beautiful things. One of those “things” is Dennis (Jon Paul Phillips), Farleigh’s handsome, much-younger boyfriend – who lives the high-life thanks to his youth and good looks. There’s just one problem: no one stays young forever. As his 30th birthday approaches, his benefactor whispers those six little words every “kept boy” dreads hearing: “Get a job… or get out.” Soon enough, Dennis finds himself being replaced by a sexy, younger pool boy and learns that life with a sugar daddy can be bittersweet.

You and I
Jonas (Eric Klotzsch) invites his best friend, Phillip (George Taylor), to come along with him on a trip through Berlin for the summer. They soon pack up their Mercedes camper and take off across uncharted territory, stopping to take photos and enjoy a laid-back road trip. The fact that Phillip is gay has never been an issue for either of them. However, when they pick up a hitchhiker named Boris (Michal Grabowski), who shows Jonas some interesting spots and starts to make moves on Phillip, the friendship between the two besties starts to fray. Maybe three is a crowd after all? By the end of the summer, things between Jonas and Phillip will never be the same again.

Orpheus Song
Enis and Philipp (Julien Lickert and Sascha Weingarten), two hot dudes from Berlin, become workout buddies. The two hunks fall into an intense friendship. When Philipp wins a trip to Greece, he invites Enis along. During a hike, they become lost and tempers flare, escalating to a violent scuffle. A mysterious young man named Hercules (Henry Morales), happens upon them and leads them to a magical underground cave. During the night, fueled by forbidden fruit Hercules has warned them against eating, passion ignites between Enis and Philipp. The next day, nothing between the two will ever be the same. This wildly erotic variation on Greek mythology will quickly have you falling under its sensual spell!

A Stormy Night
Marcos (David Moragas) arrives in New York from Barcelona only to find out his layover flight to San Francisco has been cancelled due to a storm. This leaves him without a place to stay for the night. That’s how he meets Alan (Jacob Perkins), his old college friend’s roommate, who is happy to host him for the night. The two boys have nothing in common, but they will have to spend twelve hours and a New York storm together. Throughout the night, a series of misunderstandings lead the boys to challenge each other’s approach to love, relationships and happiness. They both have secrets to hide that are difficult to hold. And yet, the biggest challenge might be having to say goodbye to each other the morning after.

Kept Boy
Farleigh Knock (Thure Riefenstein) is wildly successful. An famous interior designer and host of a successful reality show, Farleigh has great taste and uses his money to ensure that he’s surrounded by beautiful things. One of those “things” is Dennis (Jon Paul Phillips), Farleigh’s handsome, much-younger boyfriend – who lives the high-life thanks to his youth and good looks. There’s just one problem: no one stays young forever. As his thirtieth birthday approaches, his benefactor whispers those six little words every “kept boy” dreads hearing: “Get a job… or get out.” Soon enough, Dennis finds himself being replaced by a sexy, younger pool boy. No longer a kept boy, he finds himself a lost man – learning, slowly, that it’s never too late to become the man you should have been all along… and that, sometimes, living the good life with a sugar daddy can be bittersweet.

Bitter Years
The stylish new biographical drama Bitter Years retraces the real life of Mario Mieli, one of the founders of the Italian Homosexual Liberation Movement, created in Italy at the beginning of the 1970s. An activist, intellectual, writer and performer, Mario was a key figure on the Italian cultural scene. Though he died way too young in 1983, his short life was packed with powerful incident. The film follows him through his childhood years – examining a complicated relationship with his parents – to the last years of his life with partner Umberto Pasti – which tell an equally difficult and intense love story. Newcomer Nicola De Benedetto is also a complete revelation in a very challenging lead role.

Deleted Scenes
With Deleted Scenes, prolific underground filmmaker Todd Verow made what could easily qualify as one of his best features. Edgy and fragmented, the film tells a tale of love, passion and dysfunction. When 30-something Sean (Michael Vaccaro) meets Eastern European immigrant Wolf (Ivica Kovacevic), the sparks quickly fly. They return to Sean’s apartment to begin a high energy affair. What starts as a mere chance meeting slowly evolves into something more. Wolf is easy going, turning tricks to supplement his living, while Sean is needy, talkative and neurotic. Creating a stable relationship is fraught with problems. With Wolf disappearing for hours at a time and Sean doing drugs, the two of them seem to be headed down a path of destruction. Told like a tale made up entirely of Deleted Scenes, Verow pushes the envelope of creativity and sensuality.

Sunburn
Set within the luxurious confines of a modern vacation villa in the Portuguese countryside, the stylish new thriller Sunburn examines a close-knit group friends who share a long (and slowly teased-out) history. Our four protagonists come together for a peaceful weekend retreat by the pool. Unfortunately, their calm is quickly shattered by a phone call from David, a former friend, previously ostracized by the group, who seems to have left a strong and lasting impression on each of them. After a long absence, he’s back in town and planning to stop by. It’s at this point that Sunburn starts ramping up the dread. A reckoning, of some sort, is coming. What happened between David and the rest of the group to inspire such mixed emotions?

Hooked
We first meet Jack (Conor Donnally), a homeless hustler with a smart mouth and impulsive tendencies, in New York City, turning tricks on the evening before his eighteenth birthday. He spends most of his time in a world of often abusive, but affluent, eccentrics. His only ally is his boyfriend Tom (Sean Ormond). Jack soon sees an opportunity to make a better life for himself by taking a trip to Miami with a client named Ken (Terrance Murphy). At first, Ken appears more honest and caring than the usual john, even winning Jack’s trust… until Jack finds him on a Skype call with his never-mentioned wife. His faith in humanity smashed yet-again, Jack steals Ken’s drugs and handgun. Embarking on a drug- binge, he encounters the slimiest characters Miami has to offer, falling deeper into the hole than he started.

Top 3
From Swedish filmmaker Sofie Edvardsson, Top 3 is a unique, animated gay romantic comedy about life, making lists and what happens after falling helplessly in love. In this funny, bittersweet romantic comedy from Sweden, perpetual list-maker Anton (Eric Ernerstedt) falls completely in love with David (Jonas Jonsson), but things start to go awry when Anton realizes that his dreams in life might be in direct opposition to David’s.

Doors Cut Down
Guillermo (Israel Rodriguez) seems like your average high school student, but he’s hiding a naughty little secret. In private, he has become a suave expert at cruising his local shopping mall for gay sex. Always looking for a new trick, he even resorts to seducing his much older English tutor. When he finally meets the hottest guy he’s ever seen, a man who may mean more to him than just a hot fuck, Guillermo finds himself suddenly conflicted. Newly restored in High Definition, this sexy 18-minute Spanish comedy is back to thrill audiences once again! A massive hit on the LGBT film festival circuit at the time of its release – the year 2000, to be specific – Doors Cut Down caused quite a controversy due to its frank and graphic depiction of a young man’s sexual exploration. It has become something of a notorious gay cinema classic.

Derek (Sebastian Castro) has had a string of girlfriends – none of whom he has hung onto for very long. Morales and Castro give exceptional, often heartbreaking performances in this thoughtful and patient romance – wherein the awkward silences and furtive glances speak volumes.

Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds

2006, United States

Boasting a cast of hunks, Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds is packed with more sexy, irreverent fun. Returning to head up the cast are gay “American Idol” finalist Jim Verraros as Kyle and Emily Brooke Hands as Gwen. New to the cast, along with an array of studs, is John Waters veteran Mink Stole in a hilarious turn as Kyle’s mom, Helen. When Kyle and Marc (Brett Chuckerman) have a breakup that doesn’t quite feel final, Marc goes off in search of other prey while Gwen, Kyle and Tiffany (Rebekah Kochan) head to art class, where Troy (Marco Dapper) will model nude. As the trio lusts after Troy, they can’t quite figure out who he likes: boys or girls? Troy and Kyle leave class together and head off across campus where they bump into Jacob (Scott Vickaryous) and his ex-gay group, “Coming In”. Kyle, who is ultra-gay without a butch bone in his body, decides to pretend he’s an ex-gay to see if he can get into mixed-up Troy’s pants. There’s lots of room for comic craziness as the charade heats up. Funnier and wackier than the first edition, Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds is a total farce, without any intent to educate or illuminate any serious topics. Enjoy!

Caresses

1998, Spain

Fasten your seat belts for this visually torrid tour through the streets of Barcelona and into the violently emotional world of its love-starved inhabitants. Released in 1998, director Ventura Pons proved to be a daring and original filmmaker as he wove together several seemingly unconnected stories into a complex tapestry of people trapped by their sexual desires and who find their passions both ignited and muted – all in an effort for some kind of human tenderness. The stories begin with a husband and wife’s violent style of dinner preparation. Other stories include an older woman who tries to talk to her long estranged and now homeless brother who is still angry that she and his wife became lovers. It then follows an angry teenage boy who longs for an intimate relationship with his father and looks at a scene where an older man tries to stay young through the oral sexual services of a young male hustler. The cutting is rapid, the images glossy and the issues lurid and controversial. Caresses is drama of human detachment that will excite and mesmerize the viewer.
