Testosterone: Volume Three
The newest entry in a sensational short film series, Testosterone: Volume Three collects some of the hottest gay-themed shorts from around the world! This installment shows us a teen’s dangerous affair with an older man, a long-lost love that resurfaces at a circuit party, an awkward first gay sexual experience, a father and son’s tumultuous relationship and the effects that jealousy has on two men and the stud that comes between them. Catch up on all the action. We also have Testosterone: Volume One and Testosterone: Volume Two available now for your streaming pleasure.

Three Dancing Slaves
This explosive 2005 film from award-winning French writer-director (Full Speed, Under Another Sky) and actor (Wild Reeds) Gael Morel, is a harrowing, intense drama of destruction, rebellion, redemption and love. Set against the backdrop of a sultry countryside near the French Alps, three motherless brothers collectively face the challenges of adulthood. There is Marc (Nicolas Cazale), a burgeoning criminal; Christophe (Stephane Rideau), who is trying to restart his life after prison; and Olivier (Thomas Dumerchez), a capoeira fighter in love. As the young brothers wrestle with their transitions into manhood, they must each escape the tyrannical rule of their father to carve out their own places in life. Stunning cinematography and powerful performances help make Three Dancing Slaves an erotic, breathtaking film about family and the struggle of making your mark on the world around you.

Black Briefs

2012, United States

Curated by prolific writer/director Rob Williams (Make the Yuletide GayShared Rooms) for his distribution label Guest House Films, Black Briefs features six award-winning short films with pretty dark, horror or horror-adjacent stories and themes. When it comes to short film compilations, there is always something to recommend. If you don’t like the first one, chances are good there is a short just around the corner that you’re going to appreciate more. In Black Briefs, we really like Hong Khaou‘s steamy Spring, about a young man meets up with a stranger for a little exploratory sadomasochistic sex; and Jack Plotnick‘s Video Night, in which a group of filmmaker buddies discover something unexpected in their raw footage. Our favorite, though, is Greg Ivan Smith‘s Remission. A man, all alone in a secluded cabin awaiting the results of a serious medical test, is haunted by a terrifying presence. It’s genuinely chilling and it’s one of those rare movies that can create dread and unease even in its scenes set during the daytime.
