Just Came Out: Romeu & Romeu: Part 2

A classic and timeless story rewritten to represent today’s diversity, Romeu & Romeu is a must-see. This gorgeous Brazilian series was produced independently, has won several awards around the world. Now Part 2 of the saga is coming to DVD thanks to Dekkoo Films.

Romeu & Romeu adapts the classic love story “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare. Following some patterns of the original version, this new version of the story takes place today, in the fictional city of Verona of the South, where the Montagues and Capulets are replaced by the Campelos and Monteiros, powerful families that share a bitter rivalry known throughout the entire the city, in the shadow of a crime committed in the past. The similarities to the original story end there. Romeo and Juliet become Romulo (Arthur Chermont) and Ramon (Joao Mesquita), characters that mix personality traits of both originals, giving a new life to the well-known characters and plot.

Dropping the Soap (c) Dekkoo Films

Don’t Get Caught Dropping the Soap

Dekkoo Films is proud to announce that on February 20th, a truly gut-busting 10-part series starring Jane Lynch and Paul Witten will be hitting DVD shelves. Executive produced by Jane Lynch, “Dropping the Soap” goes behind-the-scenes of the long-running (and gawdawful) fictional soap-opera “Collided Lives”.

As the program struggles to stay afloat, a new Executive Producer named Olivia Vanderstein (hilarious played by Lynch) shows up to shake things up. While the cast and crew desperately try to hold things together, Julian Draker (the soap’s leading man of “questionable talent and moral compass”) played by co-creator Paul Witten struggles to keep his personal life private and his cast members employed.

“As the TV soap opera itself circles the drain, I love how our crew of self-centered and desperate actors charge ever forward to save their show from the chopping block,” said Lynch. “The writing is so sharp and witty as the off-screen shenanigans become almost more absurd than the storylines of ‘Collided Lives.'”

Coffee House Chronicles: The Movie (c) Dekkoo Films

Just Came Out: Coffee House Chronicles

Coffee House Chronicles: The Movie is a comedy that explores the many ways LGBT people connect in the world of the Internet, social media, and of course coffee houses. The movie, based on the successful web series from writer-director Stewart Wade, features nine vignettes and covers two days and one night of love, hookups, heartbreaks, and hopes in gay Los Angeles.

In Secret Asian Man, a meet-cute takes an unexpected turn when Darin (Mykee Steen) gets to the house of Matthew (Cesar Cipriano) and discovers that the hottie in the wrap-around shades is Asian – and Darin doesn’t “do” Asians. In An Exception, Jeff (Darryl Stephens) is haunted – literally – by his perfect ex (Chris Salvatore). Can his quirky and less-than-perfect BFF, Anthony (Drew Droege), get him to leave behind the idealized past in exchange for a messy, imperfect future together?
