With a library of features and shorts from around the world – mixing genre with art-house and everything in between – Altered Innocence is committed to curating an esoteric library that is without peer in the current cinema landscape.

Nearly three hours of LGBTQ and coming-of-age short films and music videos await you in the debut of Altered Innocence‘s cinematic mixtape supreme: Altered Innocence: Vol. 1! Films from established auteurs like Peter Strickland (The Duke of Burgundy, In Fabric), Cam Archer (Wild Tigers I Have Known), João Nicolau (From John) and Yann Gonzalez (You and the Night, Knife+Heart) join fresh new voices such as Alexis Langlois, Shaun Hughes, Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel. Cruising, dancing, naked wrestling, trans terrorism, first love, bullies, femme faltales, band practice and much, much more is in store!

Trailer Alert: Rapture in Blue

Like a David Lynch thriller filmed through a queer lens, writer-director Ryder Houston‘s Rapture in Blue follows a young man’s quest through flickering neon and hazy noir shadows to find his true self.

 

After Jason (Bryce Lederer) tries to use his childhood home for a steamy rendezvous with his girlfriend Valerie (Sarah Greenfield), they discover it has been newly occupied by the smoldering Sebastian (Tanner Garmon), who eagerly warms up to anxious Jason. Wracked with desires he’s long tried to ignore while also being pressured by his girlfriend’s sensual advances, a growing sense of unease and dread permeates his life. After receiving an “impossible” photo of him embracing Sebastian, Jason realizes he needs to confront the madness consuming him from all sides.

A moving, and often funny tale, The Poet and the Boy tells the story of a struggling poet in his late 30s who has spent all his life in a small island town, living off of his hard-working wife. Despite his wife’s constant nagging about having a family – and his inability to carry his share of the weight in their relationship – all he does is think about his writing. One day, the poet meets a teenage boy working at a doughnut shop and helplessly develops feelings he has never had before, leading to both dramatic and comedic consequences.
