We Are Thr3e
Nacho (Carlos Etchevers) is an accountant, an average guy. At a party he meets Ana (Flor Dragonetti), a recently divorced and self-confident young woman. Then the two meet the charismatic bartender Sebastian (Juan Manuel Martino), who starts flirting with both of them. Despite their doubts, Nacho and Ana accept Sebastian’s invitation to spend the night at his place, where nothing happens. A few days later, they decide to go on a weekend trip to a secluded farm. And it seems like it will be a fun one-night stand, until Sebastian confesses that he desires a long-term relationship with a man and a woman together.

Furious Desires
Desire is mysterious. Desire is overwhelming. Desire is tragic. Desire is FURIOUS. The many permutations of that strange thing called desire are on full display in this stunning collection of short films: Daytime Doorman tracks the burgeoning desire between Marcelo and his sexy doorman Marcio. Xavier charts the beginnings of desire when Nicholas begins to notice his son, Xavier, only pays attention to certain types of boys. The Other Side is about the frustrations of unfulfilled desire when the object of your lust is beyond your reach – literally. The Tiger’s Fight explores what happens when one man, unbound by the ancient traditions, decides to subvert what’s expected of him to declare his desire for his best friend. Finally, in Loris Is Fine, we learn about the lengths two young lovers will go to prove that their love is beyond desire altogether.

Anotherworld
Director Fabiomassimo Lozzi presents a gripping drama about the current state of Italy’s gay culture by weaving together a tapestry of intimate monologues. Conceived as a vision of Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven, this experimental narrative touches on the joys, heartaches, and political struggles that all gay men – whether old or young, from big cities or small towns – must face in the modern world. Much of the dialogue is derived from true-life interviews with gay men, imbuing the film with authenticity and timeliness. Even in the film’s darkest moments – those depicting violence and self-loathing – viewers will discover a haunting beauty and an honesty that is at times brutal.

Porno Melodrama
Created by writer-director Romas Zabarauskas in 2011 as a reaction to the legal, government-influenced homophobia in Lithuania, the 31-minute short film Porno Melodrama tells an original story about the dangers of love. Jonas (Marius Repsys) enjoys his life with his boyfriend Matas (Kurtis), but he wants to emigrate from homophobic Lithuania to live in a more gay-friendly country. In order to earn money to leave, Jonas agrees to star in a straight porn film with his ex-girlfriend Akvile (Vilma Kutaviciute). But Akvile still pines for Jonas… and that’s where the real melodrama begins.

My Straight Son
Diego (Guillermo Garcia), a young, sexy and highly successful photographer, lives in the glamorous but shallow and excessive world of fashion. A tragic accident turns his world upside down; his partner Fabrizio (Socrates Serrano) is now in a coma. Unexpectedly, and right at this inopportune time, Diego’s estranged son Armando (Ignacio Montes) shows up. Now, both of them have to adapt to each other; Armando to the unknown, homosexual world of his father, and Diego to the closed attitude of his teenage son. My Straight Son is dramedy that aims to both touch and amuse.
