Brace yourself for Devil’s Path, a psychological-thriller feature film coming to DVD in March.

Taking place in 1992 during the era of grunge and outdoor gay cruising, the movie follows two strangers who meet while hiking a once-popular area for gay men known as Devil’s Path. Two hikers have gone missing recently and with no leads or bodies, the area is now considered high risk and mostly closed off. The two strangers, Noah and Patrick (Stephen Twardokus and JD Scalzo), are suddenly forced off the main trail after a confrontation with some suspicious hikers and soon find themselves running for their lives with nowhere to hide but in the trees.

Devil’s Path is a mental thriller that keeps the journey taut with tension and suspense while exploring the choices we make along with the consequences that follow.

“I wondered what it would be like to be trapped in the middle of nowhere with a complete stranger and in a situation where you could only rely on each other, even if you didn’t trust one another,” said director Matthew Montgomery, an actor familiar to gay cinema fans from films such as Socket, Long-Term Relationship and 3-Day Weekend. “The flawed human is one of the most interesting dynamics in a story. Devil’s Path explores what happens when the conviction of one’s perspective gets in the way of truth.”

Devil’s Path is now available to pre-order here. Check out the trailer below.
