Every Monday in December we’re shining a spotlight on a gay-themed guaranteed to get you into the holiday spirit! Keep checking in for more Holiday Highlights. This week’s selection is Shared Rooms.

Shared Rooms explores the meaning of home and family through three interrelated stories of gay men finding connections during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. In this sexy, feel-good gay romantic comedy, married Laslo and Cal (Christopher Grant Pearson and Alec Manley Wilson) take in a gay teen who’s been kicked out of his home; Sid and Gray (Justin Xavier and Alex Neil Miller) have a casual online hookup which unexpectedly deepens; and Julian and Dylan (Daniel Lipshutz and Robert Werner)  confront their secret mutual attraction when they end up forced to share a bed for a week. Their stories come together at a “Steve Not Eve” New Year’s party.

A lovely holiday-themed romantic comedy from Rob Williams, the same director who brought us Make the Yuletide Gay, Shared Rooms won the Audience Award for Best Comedy at FilmOut San Diego and Best Screenplay awards at QFest and the Long Beach LGBTQ Film Festival. The film also earned some great reviews from critics. Philadelphia Magazine said to “Expect plenty of laughs from some breakout talent that proves impressive cinema still exists without all of the Hollywood glam.” Edge Media called it “A big gay Christmas carol for our times.”
